The Moiracars in Nairobi are celebrating their 99th Feast and I am looking for some old photos. I am also trying to contact any old Nairobi Moiracars so if you could give me some addresses or ideas on how to contact them I would be very grateful.

The Goan Musical Society show of 7 Nov. was sold-out. Rene Barreto, Chairman of the GMS welcomed the Guest of Honour, the Mayor of Wandsworth, Councillor Mrs. Lola Ayonrinde and other guests. Coun. Ayonrinde praised the Goans as a friendly and hospitable people. She said Goans had so much to offer not only to each other and other organisations but also to the Community as a whole. She urged Goans to take an active part in Local Government and offered to help where required. During the interval the young talented Gavin Fernandes treated the Mayor and guests to a photographic art exhibition. The show, which was compered by Tony Luis, was very professional. Francisco D'Souza of Dr Willy's NCP has joined the Congress in order to counter the move to topple the Luizinho Faleiro Govt.

An NRI from Nigeria, Gilbert Rodrigues, has complained to the police of the fraudulent transfer of over US $ 100, 000 from State Bank of India, Margao to bogus beneficiaries in London and New York by means of forged signatures.
