Last Sunday (9th) two bombs went off at Churches and in a Maruti van in Bangalore. It is suspected that the van had been used to plant the bombs and had been accidentally blown up. Some of the van's occupants died but one was injured and is being questioned by Police. The explosive used in Bangalore was similar to that used in Vasco two weeks earlier and the Maruti van was registered in Goa. An extremist Muslim organisation is thought to be responsible.

With continuous rainfall for five days, Goa appears to be trapped. See
