Foreign tours a waste. The Comptroller and Auditor General of India reported that 'promotional visits' of Goa's officials abroad to Tourism Trade Marts had no impact on arrival of foreign tourists to Goa. See:

The Goa Govt. has imposed a total ban on the use of recycled plastic bags from August 15.

In a letter to Archbishop Raul Gonsalves, Meta Strips has stated its decision to pull out of Goa.

Five prisoners serving life imprisonment escaped from the Aguada Central jail last Saturday morning.
