in obtaining Charitable Status (Charity Number 1082965) and is
therefore a Registered Charity. We are also in the process of
obtaining our very own Portakabin (hopefully on the 11th of Nov.
2000; with grateful thanks to Rev. Fr. Moraes) in the Keston Centre
Premises. We will celebrate our achievements as soon as the portakabin
is erected. Anyone interested in membership may contact Eddie

Michele Pereira wishes to thank
the Community for the tremendous support to the Charity dinner
dance in aid of 'Harbour Trust', which was aimed at creating awareness
and acceptance of HIV or AIDS victims within the Goan community.
IOF Foresters sponsored the event together with Saldanha Holidays
and over £1,500 was raised. Anybody wishing to seek advice

Over a thousand revellers attended
the Help A Poor Child Gala Ball last Saturday. Keith Vaz, Patron
of the organisation was present with his wife Maria and the lively
music prompted him to take to the floor, for the "first time"

Times. Eric Sequeira, builder of Sequeira's Enclave, Ribandar
was arrested by police and taken to Bombay as a result of the
action taken by Savio D'Souza of Bombay. Savio had agreed to buy
the flat in 1996 with completion scheduled for 1998. In July 1998,
D'Souza wrote to Sequeira informing that he had been selected
for a part-scholarship from De Souza Trust run by the British
Council for specialisation in Media Management at University of
Sterling and sought to cancel the agreement because of delayed
construction. However, the cheques made out towards the refund
