From: "Tim de Mello" timdemello@hotmail.com: St. F.X. Feast, Mississauga, CANADA
Excerpts: I had the pleasure of witnessing and enjoying the first St. F.X. Feast celebrated at the St. F.X. Church in Mississauga on Saturday, December 8.

The Church is the result of a tireless effort of one Goan priest Fr. Terence D'Souza (from Moira)..... The feast was organized by the "Friends of St. F.X." i.e. Evelyn De Souza, Lazarus Pereira and John J. D'Souza. .... It started at 10:30 am with a formal procession around the grounds of the Church. The weather cooperated (Fr. Terence says he had a direct line) and the congregation (~400), the choir, musicians and three priests (2 Goan)walked solemly singing konkani hymns. Almost all the congregation were Goan. It was a feast for the eyes and ears. High Mass was celebrated with Choir and musicians in good tune singing English and Konkani..... After Mass, all convened to the Hall which is called Fr. Terence D'Souza's Church Hall where a variety of stalls were set up. The Goan food, which had previously wafted slightly into the Church, was now in all its glory. The Hall was jam packed with people, shoulder to shoulder. There were lots of familiar faces and all seemed to be having a good time. There were five food stalls offering Fish Caldin, Soropotel, Biryani, samosas, chicked tikka, croquets, etc. etc. It was all mouth watering. as well!!
