According to a Times of India report the BJP government faces a political storm with the Congress, the main opposition party, bracing up to take over the reins.

Gil Rossellini, son of Italian film director Roberto Rossellini plans to direct a thriller, The Tigress of Goa.

There has been a spate of night-time burglaries of isolated but occupied houses in Goa. Two gangs are thought to be responsible, threatening and restraining the residents as they ransack the houses. There have been 5 such incidents so far this week.

Two British nationals died in Goa on 26 Feb. Jason (Rufus) Burrows, aged 30 died after the motorcycle he was riding collided against a wall at St Anthony's Chapel Calangute. Craig William, was found dead in a restaurant in Anjuna.

The Chief Minister of Goa has indicated that the ban on rave parties was being eased because of the economic dependence on them by sections of the local population.
