COMMUNITY NEWS From Flavio Gracias: Goan Association (UK) - Annual/Extraordinary General Meetings on 9th September 2001. Business was completed on the day and no adjournment was necessary. The AGM was completed within two hours and the EGM in one and a half hours and the meeting closed at 5.30pm. The general body accepted the recommendation to proceed with the sale of the playing fields at a price not less than £265,000. On the future direction, the recommendation to set up a General Purposes Sub-Committee to progress this consultation process was accepted. Sadly, the following vacancies were not filled at the meeting. Sports Director, Social & Cultural Director, Legal and Admin Director, Assistant Finance Director. The Board will endeavour to co-opt members to these positions in due course.
