Feni is being recognised as an ethnic drink and exported to Australia, Germany, Britain and the Gulf according to Mac Vaz of Madame Rosa, a prominent distillery in Goa. Feni could soon be the new 'king of good times'. United Breweries, makers of the world famous Kingfisher beer, may soon market Goan feni in the international market. Goa’s Chief Minister said that the NRI cell would be strengthened. He said that one NRI Goan called on him and started crying after somebody had sold his ancestral land.
