Feb. Coventry Evening Telegraph. The Lord Mayor of Coventry, Cllr
Dave Chater and his wife Chris are on a visit to earthquake ravaged
Gujarat. They recently had a week's holiday in the tourist enclave
of Goa, but that's not much preparation for the pollution and
bustle of Delhi, the intricacies of Hindu village culture and
the constant hassle from street traders everywhere.

Feb. Sunday Telegraph. 976 words. Henna tattoos may look beautiful
but they could have painful and long-lasting effects, as Victoria
Hislop found out after a trip to Goa. (Victoria Hislop is the
wife of Ian Hislop, Editor of the satirical weekly, Private Eye
and one of the anchors of BBC2's Have I Got News For You). Evidently
these days a chemical, para-phenylene diamene (PPD) is being added
to strengthen the colour and this is the cause of an occasionally
extreme reaction, leaving her children with scabrous, angry sores.
The account (1701 words) of their holiday with their children
appeared in The Sunday Telegraph, 26 Mar. 2000.

Feb. Evening Mail (Birmingham). Fifteen students and staff of
Sandwell College are visiting under-funded schools and orphanages

in Goa. Donations, by March 1, to the College or phone 0121 253
