Quick
on the draw for contest
Talented
schoolboy Jim Mascarenhas from Maidenbower Middle School
won first prize in a country wide drawing competition held
by Generations As Partners.
Jim,
aged 8, was presented with a £25 book token and a
pantomime ticket together with a £50 book token for
his school by David Griffin(above) who appeared as the squire
in Beauty & The Beast in Horsham's pantomime at Horsham's
Art Centre.
Generations
as Partners is an initiative, managed by old folks' charity
Age Concern West Sussex, which establishes links between
the young and old to develop trust friendship and understanding
between the generations.
Youngsters
involved in the project were asked to submit a drawing showing
what they enjoy about the scheme.
Jim's
design will be the logo of the project and will be featured
in an intergenerational handbook for teachers and health
professionals to be published next year.
