Further, many errors within the text have been

Finally, details have been received of a new
book by Rochelle Pinto titled Between Empires:
Print and Politics in Goa. A brief resume of the

a number of studies have sought to re-think the
history of literary cultures and linguistic identities
in modern India, locating them in the wider context
of print production, constitution of a reading
public, and the interplay of different social
groups. Between Empires offers the first
systematic analysis of the relationships
between print culture and colonial rule
