Dual citizenship: Centre has no knowledge of Goans with Portuguese passport 10 Jul: Herald. He was, arguably, Africa’s greatest art collector and along with his American-Kenyan friend, Alan Donovan, were co-founders of African Heritage, Africa’s first Pan African gallery…This architectural masterpiece hosts art collections from all over Africa spanning 50 years. It is in the process of being made an Advanced African Studies Centre as a tribute to the late Murumbi. Goa Tourism Development Corporation to build wellness retreat property at Sanguem 11 Jul: Times of India. Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) has decided to construct a premium wellness retreat property at Selaulim in Sanguem taluka as part of the plan to move to the hinterland. This project will consist of retaining and renovating the existing five villas at Selaulim which would contain 40 rooms. Video: Mother campaigns for justice after daughter dies on holiday in India
10 Jul: ITV News (UK). Gurkiren Kaur (photo) was a schoolgirl enjoying a holiday in India with her family when she fell ill. She went to a clinic in Khanna in the Punjab … Her mother Amrit says that a clinic assistant gave her a mystery injection. She died soon afterwards. When Gurkiren's body arrived back in the UK, her family found out all her organs had been removed. It took a six-month campaign to get them returned. But because of the state of them, the coroner hasn't been able to tell Amrit Kaur how her daughter died… Amrit Kaur says that shows a cover up. She says she now wants to work with other families like Scarlett Keeling's, who was found dead on a beach in Goa in 2008. She'd been drugged and raped… 2m. 24s. click here
